Baccarat Rules
Baccarat chemin de fer is bet on with 8 decks in a shoe. Cards below 10 are counted at their printed value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the 2 hands that are dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand is the total of the two cards, but the first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a value of 1 (5 plus 6 = eleven; ditch the initial ‘1′).
A third card may be given depending on the following rules:
- If the gambler or banker gets a score of 8 or 9, the two players hold.
- If the player has less than five, she hits. Players otherwise hold.
- If the gambler holds, the banker takes a card on 5 or less. If the player hits, a table is used to figure out if the bank holds or takes a card.
Baccarat Odds
The better of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the bank payout nineteen to Twenty (equal money less a 5 percent commission. The Rake is kept track of and paid off when you quit the game so make sure you have money left just before you head out). Winning wagers on the player pay 1:1. Winning bets for tie frequently pay eight to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as a tie occurs lower than one in every ten rounds. Be wary of betting on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9:1 vs. eight to one)
Wagered on properly baccarat banque gives pretty good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Strategy
As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has a few accepted false impressions. One of which is the same as a misconception in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of future events. Recording previous results at a table is a poor use of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary desires.
The most established and definitely the most favorable method is the one, three, two, six method. This tactic is deployed to maximize profits and minimizing losses.
Start by wagering 1 dollar. If you succeed, add another to the two on the game table for a sum total of 3 chips on the second bet. If you win you will retain 6 on the game table, remove four so you have 2 on the third round. If you succeed on the 3rd wager, add 2 to the four on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you lose on the first wager, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the first bet followed by a hit on the second brings about a hit of 2. Success on the first 2 with a defeat on the 3rd provides you with a take of 2. And success on the initial 3 with a hit on the 4th means you are even. Winning at all four rounds leaves you with 12, a take of 10. This means you will be able to give up the second bet 5 instances for each successful streak of 4 wagers and still balance the books.
