Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued under ten are said to be at their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they simply appear as the two hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of seven and 5 has a value of 2 (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card could be dealt depending on the foll. regulations:

- If the player or banker has a total of eight or nine, the two gamblers stand.

- If the player has 5 or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart is used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure that you have money left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie by and large pays eight to one but occasionally 9 to one. (This is an awful bet as ties will happen less than one every 10 hands. Avoid placing bets on a tie. Even so odds are thoroughly better – 9 to one versus 8 to 1)

Played accurately, baccarat offers fairly good odds, apart from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some well-known misunderstandings. One of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future results. Monitoring of past conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and possibly most successful technique is the 1-three-2-six technique. This plan is employed to magnify winnings and controlling risk.

Begin by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
