Baccarat Standards
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards with less than a value of ten are valued at their printed value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they merely act as the two hands to be given out).
Two hands of two cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand is the grand total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 7 and 5 will have a total score of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).
A third card might be given depending on the foll. rules:
- If the gambler or banker has a total score of eight or nine, both bettors stand.
- If the player has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart might be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 scores is the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie commonly pay 8 to one but on occasion 9 to one. (This is a crazy wager as ties happen lower than one every ten hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. However odds are substantially better – nine to 1 vs. eight to one)
Played accurately, baccarat presents pretty good odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. One of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an indicator of future happenings. Monitoring of past conclusions on a chart is for sure a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most popular and almost certainly most successful strategy is the one-three-two-6 scheme. This scheme is deployed to magnify payouts and cutting back risk.
commence by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the fourth wager.
If you don’t win on the initial wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
