Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards valued less than 10 are of their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they strictly appear as the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand is the grand total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven … 5 gives a total of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be played depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the bettor or banker has a total of 8 or 9, then both bettors stand.

- If the bettor has five or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores will be the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have dollars still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie generally pay eight to 1 and on occasion nine to one. (This is a bad gamble as ties happen lower than 1 every 10 hands. be cautious of putting money on a tie. Even so odds are exceedingly better – nine to one versus 8 to one)

When done effectively, baccarat provides generally decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future outcomes. Keeping track of last conclusions on a chart is a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and feasibly most successful tactic is the one-three-2-six technique. This method is used to maximize wins and limiting risk.

start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third bet. If you win the third wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th gamble.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
