Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are valued less than 10 are said to be at their printed value and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they merely portray the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for each hand will be the sum of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven … five has a total score of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be dealt depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a tally of eight or 9, then both bettors stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Victorious stakes on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have money remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie as a rule pays eight to 1 but sometimes nine to 1. (This is an awful bet as ties will occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Run away from placing bets on a tie. Regardless odds are certainly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to one)

When played effectively, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, away from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions. Staying abreast of historic results on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and possibly most successful technique is the 1-3-2-six technique. This schema is employed to pump up earnings and cutting back risk.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third bet. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
