Baccarat Principles

Punto banco is bet on with 8 decks in a shoe. Cards below 10 are worth their printed value while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the beginning number is ignored. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a total of one (five plus 6 equals 11; ignore the initial ‘1′).

A 3rd card will be given depending on the rules below:

- If the player or house has a score of eight or 9, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has less than five, he takes a card. Players holds otherwise.

- If the gambler holds, the bank hits on five or less. If the gambler takes a card, a chart is used to figure out if the banker stays or takes a card.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The larger of the 2 hands wins. Winning wagers on the bank payout 19:20 (even payout less a five percent commission. Commission are tracked and cleared out once you quit the game so make sure you have cash around before you leave). Winning bets on the gambler pays one to one. Winning bets for tie usually pays out at 8:1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as a tie occurs less than 1 in every 10 rounds. Be cautious of putting money on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9 to 1 versus 8:1)

Played properly baccarat gives fairly good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Punto Banco Scheme

As with all games punto banco has a handful of accepted misconceptions. One of which is close to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not a harbinger of future outcomes. Keeping track of previous outcomes at a table is a bad use of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our stationary desires.

The most familiar and probably the most successful plan is the one-three-two-six technique. This plan is deployed to maximize winnings and limit risk.

Start by betting 1 unit. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the game table for a grand total of three units on the second bet. Should you succeed you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you are left with 2 on the 3rd round. Should you succeed on the third wager, deposit two to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th bet.

If you do not win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by a hit on the second brings about a hit of two. Wins on the initial 2 with a hit on the third provides you with a take of two. And success on the initial 3 with a loss on the fourth means you are even. Winning all 4 wagers gives you with twelve, a take of ten. This means you are able to lose the 2nd round 5 instances for each successful streak of four wagers and still experience no loss.
