Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued under 10 are give a value of their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they just portray the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for any hand is the sum of the two cards, but the very first digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of 7 as well as 5 will have a score of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be given depending on the following rules:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of 8 or 9, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful wagers on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so be sure to have money still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie customarily pay eight to 1 and on occasion 9 to one. (This is a crazy bet as ties will happen less than one every 10 hands. abstain from laying money on a tie. Nonetheless odds are decidedly better – nine to 1 versus eight to one)

When done smartly, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. 1 of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future happenings. Staying abreast of previous results on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and almost certainly most successful strategy is the 1-3-2-six technique. This method is used to amplify wins and cutting back risk.

start by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
