Punto Banco Standards

Baccarat is bet on with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are counted at their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is one. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the two hands that are dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The total for every hand is the sum total of the cards, but the beginning number is dumped. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a score of one (five plus 6 = 11; drop the initial ‘one’).

A 3rd card will be given out based on the rules below:

- If the gambler or house achieves a value of 8 or 9, both players hold.

- If the player has 5 or less, he hits. Players otherwise hold.

- If the gambler holds, the banker hits on five or less. If the gambler takes a card, a guide is employed to determine if the bank stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two totals wins. Winning bets on the banker payout 19:20 (equal money minus a 5 percent rake. Commission are recorded and cleared out once you leave the table so make sure you still have money left before you quit). Winning wagers on the player pay 1:1. Winning bets for tie usually pay 8:1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties happen lower than one in every ten hands. Be wary of betting on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly greater for nine to one versus eight to one)

Played correctly baccarat chemin de fer provides pretty good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Scheme

As with all games punto banco has quite a few established misconceptions. One of which is the same as a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not a harbinger of events yet to happen. Tracking past outcomes at a table is a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that was cut down for our stationary desires.

The most established and definitely the most accomplished course of action is the one, three, two, six technique. This plan is deployed to maximize winnings and limit risk.

Start by betting one chip. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the game table for a grand total of 3 units on the second bet. If you succeed you will retain six on the game table, take away four so you are left with 2 on the third round. Should you come away with a win on the third wager, put down 2 to the 4 on the game table for a total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A profit on the 1st wager followed by a loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a defeat on the third provides you with a profit of 2. And success on the first three with a loss on the fourth means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all 4 bets gives you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you can not win on the second round five times for every successful run of 4 bets and in the end, are even.
