Punto Banco Regulations

Baccarat is gambled on with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below ten are counted at their printed value while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is one. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, although the 1st number is dropped. For instance, a hand of five and 6 has a total of one (5 plus 6 = eleven; ditch the first ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be given using the rules below:

- If the gambler or house gets a total of 8 or nine, the two players stay.

- If the player has five or less, she takes a card. Players otherwise hold.

- If the gambler holds, the bank hits on a value less than 5. If the player hits, a table is used to see if the house stays or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The better of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the house payout nineteen to Twenty (even payout less a 5 percent commission. Commission are recorded and paid off once you leave the table so make sure you have funds left over before you depart). Winning bets on the gambler pays 1:1. Winning wagers for tie normally pays 8:1 but sometimes nine to one. (This is a bad bet as a tie occurs less than one in every ten rounds. Be wary of putting money on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for nine to one vs. eight to one)

Bet on properly baccarat gives pretty decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Punto Banco Strategy

As with all games Baccarat has a few familiar false impressions. One of which is close to a absurdity in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of future events. Keeping track of previous results on a page of paper is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.

The most common and likely the most accomplished method is the one-three-two-six method. This method is deployed to build up earnings and limit risk.

Begin by betting one chip. If you succeed, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 units on the second bet. If you win you will hold 6 on the game table, subtract 4 so you have two on the 3rd round. If you succeed on the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the 1st round, you take a loss of 1. A win on the initial wager followed by a loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the initial 2 with a loss on the third gives you with a gain of two. And success on the initial three with a hit on the fourth means you are even. Winning all four rounds leaves you with 12, a gain of 10. This means you will be able to give up the 2nd bet 5 instances for each successful run of 4 bets and still experience no loss.
