Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards that are valued less than 10 are said to be at their printed value whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they merely appear as the 2 hands to be given out).
2 hands of two cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand shall be the total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is dumped. For example, a hand of 7 and 5 will have a tally of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A third card may be played depending on the following standards:
- If the bettor or banker has a total of eight or nine, both gamblers stand.
- If the bettor has five or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart is used to determine if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores wins. Successful wagers on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even money less a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so be sure to have dollars left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie typically pays out at 8 to one and sometimes nine to 1. (This is not a good gamble as ties will happen lower than 1 every ten hands. Avoid wagering on a tie. Even so odds are somewhat better – 9 to one vs. 8 to 1)
Played effectively, baccarat offers pretty good odds, apart from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with every games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future actions. Staying abreast of past results on a chart is simply a waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most established and possibly most successful method is the 1-3-two-6 technique. This plan is deployed to boost payout and reducing risk.
