Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards under 10 are said to be worth their printed number and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they only represent the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand shall be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of seven as well as 5 will have a total of 2 (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card might be dealt depending on the following guidelines:

- If the bettor or banker has a tally of eight or 9, the two bettors stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used in order to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have cash left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie commonly pays eight to one and on occasion 9 to one. (This is an awful gamble as ties will happen lower than 1 every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try placing bets on a tie. Still, odds are positively better – nine to 1 vs. eight to one)

Played properly, baccarat presents fairly good odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. One of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future results. Monitoring of past results on a chart is definitely a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and probably most successful method is the one-3-two-six scheme. This method is deployed to build up wins and lowering risk.

start by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the third gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
