Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than ten are of their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they purely portray the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand shall be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of seven as well as 5 produces a tally of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be dealt depending on the foll. protocols:

- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or 9, the two bettors stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have dollars still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie commonly pay out 8 to one and sometimes nine to 1. (This is a crazy bet as ties will happen lower than one every ten hands. Definitely don’t try placing bets on a tie. However odds are decidedly better – 9 to one vs. 8 to one)

Played effectively, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, apart from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future results. Keeping track of prior conclusions on a chart is simply a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and feasibly most successful strategy is the 1-3-two-six concept. This method is used to magnify profits and lowering risk.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
