Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are said to be at face value whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just appear as the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand is the total of the two cards, but the initial digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven … 5 has a tally of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be given depending on the foll. standards:

- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so ensure you have cash left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie commonly pays out at 8 to one and occasionally nine to 1. (This is a terrible wager as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try placing bets on a tie. Even so odds are certainly better – nine to one versus 8 to one)

Played properly, baccarat offers generally decent odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually a predictor of future actions. Monitoring of historic outcomes on a chart is a total waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and probably most successful method is the 1-3-two-six method. This scheme is deployed to accentuate profits and minimizing risk.

commence by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a value of six on the fourth gamble.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
