Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than 10 are give a value of face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they merely depict the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand will be the sum of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of seven as well as 5 results in a score of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be given depending on the foll. standards:

- If the player or banker has a value of eight or nine, both bettors stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have money left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie generally pays eight to 1 and occasionally 9 to one. (This is a crazy wager as ties occur lower than one every ten hands. be wary of betting on a tie. Regardless odds are vastly better – 9 to 1 vs. 8 to one)

Played properly, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not a predictor of future events. Tracking of last outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and feasibly most successful technique is the 1-three-2-six method. This process is employed to amplify wins and controlling risk.

commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a total of six on the 4th gamble.

If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
